2019-20 - Refrigerators & Solar Water Pumps

Proscovia Namugga Uganda 2463

Global LEAP results-based financing (Global LEAP-RBF) aims to catalyze the uptake of high quality super-efficient appliances by 1) Lowering the cost to procure large volumes of best-in-class off-grid appliances for early mover off-grid solar companies, and; 2) Facilitating new business partnerships for appliance suppliers that have invested in the production of high-quality off-grid appliances.

2019-20 Global LEAP-RBF incentives will be available for the procurement of best-in-class solar water pumps and off-grid refrigerators identified as Winners or Finalists of the 2019 Global LEAP Awards in the following regions:

  • Off-grid refrigerators: Bangladesh, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Uganda
  • Solar water pumps: Bangladesh, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Zambia, and Senegal

Off-grid solar distributors interested in procuring products through Global LEAP-RBF are invited to complete an Expression of Interest (EOI).

Incentives will be allocated through a reverse auction in which Participants submit a bid for the amount of incentive funds requested. Completing the EOI allows us to determine if your organization is eligible to participate in the incentive bid submission process, will place you on the program’s official registry and ensure that you receive timely updates regarding the program going forward.

All products associated with winning bids must be sold to end users no later than 31st August 2020.

For more information about company eligibility, incentive payments, program rules, and other, please see the program Terms & Conditions.
